The Economics Department, both in terms of curriculum and other learning experiences, provides students with the foundation they need to apply theory to conventional economic issues and to explore contemporary research into human behavioral puzzles. As students develop their ability to solve problems analytically, our faculty challenge them to form their own testable hypotheses, draw inferences from data, and communicate their analysis clearly in speech and writing.
