Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 6:00 PM until 7:00 PMEastern Daylight Time UTC -04:00

The Mathematics and the Actuarial Mathematics majors at Stonehill College work with award-winning faculty dedicated to teaching in the context of the liberal arts and sciences. Professors in the department see mathematics as both a specialized discipline that can prepare students for specific careers and a fundamental part of a general education, which will give them the intellectual dexterity and creative spirit to excel and, more importantly, to adapt to an ever-changing world.

The Computer Science major focuses on the understanding and design of computers and computational processes. Emphasis is placed on making processes efficient and endowing them with some form of intelligence. The Data Science program is a blend of statistics, applied mathematics and computer science. Students in the major study such topics as statistical models, machine learning, data visualization and database systems.
